Assignment 4: Understanding web marketing and devising a web marketing strategy. [20%]

Procedure: Your report, published as a page in your blog, will consist of two parts:

  1. you will read and summarise as many documents as you can find that relate to web marketing specifically with regard to Web 2.0 (correctly cite every reference); you may illustrate your report with videos or slideshows. This section of the report should not exceed 1000 words.
  2. on the basis of (and with reference to) the first part of your report, you will devise and document an appropriate web marketing strategy for a site you own (e.g. your Ning site). This section of the report should not exceed 500 words.

Rationale: The design process embraces the entire development cycle, from the initial conception of the project through to the ongoing management of your relationship with your customer base.  Design of a web marketing strategy is therefore a crucial component of that process.
