Assignment 3: Creating a ’social web’ site with a mashup editor. [30%]

Procedure: Begun in the workshop, and to be continued and completed as your third assignment for this module, you will

  1. use a mashup editor to design and build a custom web site for some specific theme, topic, or purpose. You may use any of the applications and editors that we’ve viewed in the lecture (e.g. Google Mashup Editor, Yahoo! Pipes), though obviously the more technically complex, content-rich, and feature-rich products are likely to attract the higher grades;
  2. include links to your applications in the sidebar (e.g. blogroll) of your blog
  3. document in detail, as an entry (either post or page) in the blog itself, the thinking, planning, and the decisions you made that led to you creating your site, specifying also the reasons for your choice of mashup editor.
